Infection Control Orientation (4-Part Series)
This course is a 4-part series taught by Dave Woodard, MSc, CIC, FSHEA, NRHP Infection Control Consultant. This series originally took place in February and March of 2022.
Objectives
- Familiarize the audience with the basics of microbiology for infection prevention in hospital.
- Review the guidance, processes, and regulations for cleaning and disinfection.
- Make the students aware of core epidemiology and biostatistics that are applicable for basic hospital Infection Prevention.
- Present applicable state and federal guidelines for the Infection Prevention Program in critical access hospitals and associated long-term care facilities.
- Summarize the reporting of infection prevention data.
- Introduce basic concepts in adult education.
